Sand Trays are ideal tools for early learning, offering a hands-on approach to letter and word formation. Available in three sizes, each tray features a solid wood construction with a contrasting dark blue laminate bottom that helps letters and tracings stand out clearly. Each set includes a lid and fine grain Safe Sand®, free of crystalline silica. The trays are perfect for grades PreK-2 and also support special needs education.
The Letter Formation Sand Tray (8" x 8") is perfect for practicing individual letters, while the Word Formation Sand Tray (15" x 8") allows for tracing words. For larger projects or imaginative play, the Jumbo Sand Tray (18" x 18") offers ample space for tracing letters and words or creating make-believe adventures with toys and manipulatives. These trays help develop fine motor skills, focus, and creativity through tactile interaction.
